Updates focus on new indications for use of a drug, new dosage information, and new dosage forms. Updates are generated and cited, in preferential order, from comprehensive reviews of peer-reviewed journals, including consensus statements; databases (eg, FDA, Lexicomp); conference proceedings; and substantiated clinical expert opinions. Critical and practice-changing updates (eg, safety alerts, adverse effects) will be expedited.

The reference section of an updated monograph is annotated with the month and year of the most recent update.
